Precision Rifle Matches
Our Precision Rifle matches will consist of 4-6 stages with challenging targets from pistol distance to over 800 yards. The round count is will be around 60-100 rounds but of course, it is dependent on how well you shoot. More misses means you might need to plan on more ammunition. Each stage requiring between 5 to 10 rounds.
Targets will be both paper and steel, The shooters will be moving on uneven terrain and shooting from positions that will simulate field conditions. This is an excellent match for all practitioners of long-range shooting regardless of skill level. This match will also be beneficial for hunters as well as military and law enforcement snipers.
Caliber will be limited to .30 caliber max, with a maximum speed of 3500 FPS. No steel core ammunition will be allowed.
You will need a rifle with an optic that will allow you to locate and engage targets, and any other shooting gear you like to use. Rangefinders, spotting scopes, binoculars, shooting rests are all acceptable.
Divisions are either Semi-Auto or Manually Operated Rifle.
Scoring will vary depending on the target, with bulls-eye, USPSA, and Steel targets being used.
All long guns must have a safety/chamber flag installed when not on the line.
All long guns must be bagged or cased when transported between your car to the stages as well as between stages
Schedule– every 2nd Saturday of each month starting February 9th, 2019
8:30 check-in brief– must be present in order to participate in the match.
Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the match starts for registration and arrival to the match location.
